I’ve been getting lots of people asking me, “How can I buy Surprise!” ?

That question is more suited to a “Surprise! – How you can buy a copy” post which I’m not doing now. The only reason being is I’m still finalising something pretty important behind the scenes here on that subject and I can’t announce anything just yet – although I hope to by the end of the week.

Instead, let me talk about marketing.

Guess how much I have ‘officially’ left in my marketing budget?

$90.

And that will all be taken up with postage in getting book review copies out.

Not much, eh? [Trust me, it’s not]

(Assuming I stick to the budget – heh. Pretty tough job, turns out.)

As for actual planning, here’s what else I’ve come up with so far:

If anyone would like a book poster of Surprise! please email me, or use the contact page, and I’ll post you one. Ideally, I would then love it if you could put it up in a nice pride of place at your work or something – especially if your work involves children – but if not, that’s okay. I’ll still send you one anyway. I only have a finite number to give away so please don’t ask for one if you really don’t care either way if you get it or not. {I know you probably wouldn’t ask if that was the case, but you never know. I just had to say…}

Once the book is out I will be doing a little competition/giveaway, but I haven’t nutted out the details yet.

I will also be opening up a kind of ‘testamonials’ page on the miscpress blog where if you send in a review or opinion on Surprise! I will post it up (with accreditation, naturally).

Cut and paste the above code if you’d like to put this cover pic on your sidebar(s) somewhere. I will love you, if you do (more than I already do, obviously).

Otherwise, I haven’t had much of a chance to think of anything else up to now. If anyone has any ideas, please please let me know. I’m all ears.

Thanks for your attention.

We’re almost there.

Yay!
