As we were vacating our beach unit yesterday, I tripped down the staircase while carrying a large box of uneaten food. I landed awkwardly, bumping my knee and grazing my arm. The arm was particularly sore, stinging and weeping ruby dots, and I trudged off to breakfast feeling quite forlorn. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, I opened up a magazine began to flick through when LO! on page 26 there was a quick mention of women’s blogs and there was mine, alongside Karen Cheng and Stephanie Klein.

To quote briefly, it says Miscellaneous Mum “contains well-written and heartfelt musings on life and love” and if I suppose I have a ‘bottom line’ for my writing here, that would be the nicest compliment I could want.

So I forgot my silly arm for about two minutes as I whooped in surprise and joy. So thank you for that Notebook. And my family does to, because I can be a great sook at times.

Let’s hope I can keep it up in 2009! But more on 2009’s plans later – I do have an announcement I’ve been sitting on now for three weeks, but I still can’t say what it is yet. I know, normally I talk first, think later, and blab anything as it occurs, but this time I’ll do it the ‘proper’ way.

Stay tuned!

*I ask the question in the title because I’m not sure how long the magazine has been out before I saw the article. This is primarily because I try to avoid the magazine stands these days to avoid a relapse into the food porn.
