It was almost a year ago when I talked about our debating whether to move house or not. I guess it proves these things go in cycles when I say that we’re looking again, this time at couple places in our local area: one a ‘renovators delight’ and the other more of a ‘move right in’ kind. The main attraction to moving is that these places have more land. Not much by country standards, but it’s still healthy. The kids can run around, have some grass. At the moment they only have concrete and a bit of decking. It’s not going to be an easy decision by any means, and I might go into it a bit more if Adam and I decide to seriously pursue either one.
Learning an instrument
Yes, we bought a keyboard a while ago but as it’s turned out to be The World’s Greatest Ever Waste of Money we recently bought a guitar. Just a very basic model with nylon strings. So far Adam and I have only been following online tutorials and will have to get lessons at some point, yet behold! In one hour I could play Ode to Joy:
Please ignore the children screaming in the background. That’s normal, trust me.
It’s a lot harder to play than I thought. Stretching your hands and twisting your wrists to make chords is tough work. I was warned it would hurt my fingertips, but seeing as I compulsively chew my fingernails and skin (ewwww, yes I know) they are quite tough already.
Let’s see where some more practice gets us!
