The other day I posted this update on Twitter:

My husband has just counted all the pairs of shoes I own. Apparently, I have 23. He thinks this is a VERY large number. What say you?

Here are some of the replies I got:

* @Saresa – meh, it’s a perfectly respectable size. I have about 40 pairs hehe
* @chrissiexm – Pfft! I have almost 60 pairs of shoes at last count!
* @MistressB – 23! I only have 7!
* @CarlaDelvex – I’ve never been a fan of odd numbers you must rush to chaddy now and buy another pair immediately 🙂
* @leechbabe – I have 3 pairs of shoes, my slippers (do they count?), my everyday runners and my good runners (to go with my good jeans 😀 )
* @Magnetoboldtoo – 23? piffle. That is just my winter shoes!
* @reelingwrithing – only a lot if you try to wear them all in one day 😀 I iz in the middle – 13 pairs that are wearable plus a castoff pair of skate shoes autographed by Frenzal Rhomb
* @eglantinescake – I am sure I own the least pairs of shoes of any woman I know (6 including ug boots)

And these via Facebook:

* @mummifiedx5 – 23? Is that all?!
* @gwenbell – I say, “Man. Stop counting and back away, very slowly, from my shoes. Would I touch your equipment like that!?””

It would appear that my husband has been outvoted.

Now, what’s your answer?
