run melbourne

I enrolled in the half marathon today, set to go next month (Sunday 18th). I think my personal trainer thinks I’m mad, but at least she believes I’ll finish.

Note I said finish: not finish well. If I crawl over the line, so be it.

Oh well, I’m not running to break records. No, I’m running in memory of dad. My registered charity is the Motor Neuron Disease Association (if you remember, they were one half of my profits pledge for 2009). In what was a promotional savvy and kudos-earning move on their part, once they discovered I was running for them they immediately emailed me and asked would I like a shirt to wear on the day that shows the cause I’m running for? I said sure, send it over. I’d be happy to.

If you’re in a giving mood – or if you’re not, I’m asking really, really nicely anyway – go over to my fundraising page and perhaps consider donating. I would really appreciate it. The fee I pay to enter the race only goes to the run’s administration costs, not the charity.

Thank you x
