Yes, PictureShow. You may already have heard of it, or own it, which I suppose makes me a little late to the party. No matter! I like PictureShow because it blends a lot of features that Hipstamatic and ToyCamera both have (plus more) into a more centralised interface.

Here is a pretty ordinary, boring, and dark shot of the glass roof at Chadstone shopping centre.

Here it is in Mirror

In PopArt

In Quad

And in RedFilm

One of the cool features is how you can take the photo and either deliberately modify them to the setting you want or do a random shuffle just to see what kind of mixed bag you get. That’s how above shots were done. You then have the option to share these photos in a variety of different means on social media, or just send them to your album.

What I don’t like, and what Hipstamatic does, is that it doesn’t keep a record on the photo what frame/lens etc was used in each shot. So for example above in the ‘RedFilm’ shot, I can’t remember what that overexposed flash of light is called exactly. I can’t pull it up on the finder, tap the photo, have it turn around, and there’s my answer. I have to physically go in and check for myself (under ‘Light’ and ‘Noise’), which takes longer. That’s if you want to, or can be bothered, of course.

I also wish I could set the default frame to one of my choosing (I’ve looked and I don’t think I can. If I can, do tell me how!)

Lots of fun!
