Honestly, who goes shoe shopping for the kids one week before school resumes?

Me.

I walked into the store to see an army of black leather being marched around to the choruses of “how do they feel?” and I mentally swore, wishing I’d done this earlier. Oh well. Then we came home and I attended to the scintillating job of sewing a split together in Keira’s bean bag because I was sick of the spilled-beans-on-the-floor to the-very-living-air levels being at parity. I whipped out the vacuum to tame and fluff some lines into the carpet.
