We recently made a Catch of the Day purchase of a full-length white mirror which opens up and also doubles as a jewellery cabinet. In making my case for the necessity of having such an object in our life, I failed to mention my secret thought that such a mirror might assist my blog photography.

Lies, of course. I’m not sure it assists anything, other than the charges laid against me (and bloggers in general. I KNOW – WTH?!) that I’m occasionally narcissistic. Totally untrue.
Isn’t it?
Um…
Well, okay. Fine. Point taken.
Still, the last picture is particularly relevant because a) it’s from today and b) it’s my new hair colour. Against my better judgement, I said yes to foils when I was at the hairdressers this morning. I should never say yes to foils. You can’t really tell in this photo, which is why Instagram is my new best friend and I shall never be filter-free again, but it is a little bit greyish.
I always seem to have these hair freakouts shortly before my birthday, this time being no exception, and like a dachshund Keira picked up the scent of my doubts and made me assure her, on a number of occasions, to please, please not cut all my hair off again.
I didn’t – but boy, I’ve come close – but at the same time it’s difficult to express what I want to the hairdresser and she talks to me very slowly in return and scares me with worst case scenarios and I stop pushing her before she starts singing Coldplay, warbling phrases about ‘fixing me’, and I say instead, “okay, we’ll do the same again as last time.”
