For those of you who are looking for something fun to do next weekend with the kids, you really can’t go past the Children’s Book Festival that is happening in the city.

That’s right, on Sunday 25 March the State Library lawn and Little Lonsdale St will have fun activities like face painting, a petting zoo, arts and crafts and much more. Inside the Wheeler Centre (where I work!) there will be famous authors such as Hazel Edwards, Andy Griffiths and (Riley’s personal favourite) Leigh Hobbs talking about their craft. Inside the State Library will be many more activities in the Experimedia room and the Queen’s Hall (which I’ve seen and is full of old-world charm).

We’re going! The kids really enjoyed themselves last year and I think there’s even more on offer this time around.

Plus, it’s free. Love it.
