Last night was the birthday bash of a good friend of ours and this is – luckily – the only evidence of said party: a post-11pm shot of we merry two before we had to leave and get back to the babysitter. As we walked home together, a couple of teenagers were out on the street ahead on their own way to – or coming from – a party of their own. What they might’ve made of Adam and myself, I don’t know. Perhaps in their eyes we were old fogies, or perhaps not. I don’t really care either way to be honest. Maybe that means I’m growing up.

(Tip: one way to magically give yourself cheekbones in a picture is to PURSE THOSE LIPS. PURSE ‘EM I SAY!)

This was very much a day after the night before, when such night saw constant champagne top ups, and I must admit by lunchtime my liver was like, oh hell no, I can’t do this. VITAMIN BACKUP PLEASE. It was a quiet day of keeping to ourselves and general zoning out. I may wake up tomorrow and think that instead of gaining a day of rest I actually lost a day of productivity, but I don’t think so. Not this time anyway.

Because a day of getting out into the garden…

Eggplant

and watching Doctor Who…

Doctor Who

(and supposedly constructing Meccano but really sneaking peeks at aforementioned show)…

A & K

is more than okay in my book.

Look, even the cat couldn’t be arsed.

Cat

Right on, whiskers. I’ll keep on lying beside you.

* Questionable grammar, yes, but it sounds better than ‘How to Get Over A Hangover’ or some such SEO/Keyword attention-seeking, grabby silliness.
