Raspberry macaron

This is another recipe along the lines of the whoopie pies from last week – jumping on the bandwagon, so to speak, and I’m looking straight at Adriano Zumbo to blame here –  although there’s a slight difference in this case as I have eaten many macarons in my time and none of them, none of them, looked like the above monstrosity.

They tasted nice, and in the Masterchef-y, consolatory way I suppose that helped, but only so much.

The cream? Well, for the sake of getting a shot, and because it refused to whip for some reason, I panicked and thickened it with cornflour.

*hangs head*
