One thing – well, the only thing – that has long bothered me about the ‘ 1 recipe a week for a year’ challenge is that it’s not done yet. It was supposed to be finished by last October. But then I decided to put a book out, didn’t I? (That’s my excuse and I’ll stick to it thankyouverymuch.)

Nonetheless! I feel bad, yes I do. And I feel annoyed if I break my end of a bargain. Annoyed, and somewhat of a lazy ass.

Well, this all stops in March.

I’ve declared this month to be the ‘ 1 recipe a day until the damn thing is over’ challenge! For the next 21 days (the time left to take us up to what would have been 52 weeks) this blog will host the good – and the bad – cooking I’ll be doing.

Why now?

Apart from the reason already given above, the simple truth is I’m taking full advantage of what’s left of the nice weather: the simplicity of salads, lovely fresh food and the fact the light is better to take photographs than it is during the winter months.

So, with a brave smile (and a little trepidation) I’ll be starting tomorrow!  Wish me luck.
