miscpoetry continues

I’ll start off this week’s celebrations with the above picture. Readers might recognise this poem ‘postcard’ from my #miscpoetry project – if you click through to the link you’ll see them all in a single post. Since then, they’ve been sitting in my drawer and I thought to myself, “What else can be done? How can I extend the project? Why would I want to?” So, here’s a little spoiler. I’ll do a full write up once I have set them all free ‘in the wild’! There’s a lot!

Other celebrations, and interesting points-of-note, this week include:

  • Surviving our first week of school holidays!
  • I’ve successfully de-cluttered the kids’ bedrooms.
  • Due to demand, a second blogging workshop has been added to the July program at Writers Victoria. If you missed out on the first, here’s your chance.
  • For the writers, this list of ‘40 Questions for a Stronger Manuscript‘ is a really solid resource.
  • You all know how much I like a bucket list (*cough* living list), so this one of ‘26 Literary Landmarks in America to Visit Before You Die‘ is just my kind of jam.
  • If I work up the courage, I’ll watch the gameplay video of this intriguing horror video game: read the write-up of Sad Satan here.
  • As ever, I’ll dive into my – sometimes embarrassing! – YouTube history to show you something I’ve enjoyed this week, and here’s one:

I enjoyed Mark Kermode’s analysis/reflection on Blade Runner, one of my favourite movies. Although I almost hesitated writing that because I’ve only seen it the once, but it was one of those viewing experiences that was so perfect and moving I worry that if I put it on again it won’t live up to the memory.
