I’ve been in bed these past few days with a cold – nothing serious, just your typical snotty tissue pile, never-ending thirst, aches and pains. As you can tell, I’m a delight when I’m sick. See?
One standout from the past week was Pax Australia, which I mentioned in passing last Friday. I said as we came out after eight and a half hours that next year we need to come for the whole three days. Yes, I’m a convert. So much so I might amend my ‘dressing up’ living list ambition from Halloween to a cosplay situation. Not sure yet.
Other delights that have stood out from the crowd this week include:
- Here’s a photo of the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. Or so it’s speculated.
- Speaking of my ‘Living List’ one of my items – visiting Gaudi’s Sagrada Família – is almost complete! Finally! (132 years after it was begun.) If you click over, just look at it. Alien and awesome at once and will be Europe’s tallest religious building.
- Here’s a post I’ve bookmarked to return to later: 22 Amazing Apps That Will Revitalize Your Love Of Reading. Some oldies in there, some I’ve heard good reports about and some are brand new.
- And last, in today’s taste of morbid, here’s what it’s like to die from snakebite. I’ll just leave that with you. Be aware, people! True, we don’t have this snake in Australia, but we have plenty others. And it’s almost summer.
