Friday Celebrations (6)

We had guests this week – my mother and sister were in town and we had birthday party/early Christmas festivities. You might think it would feel weird to be celebrating early, but it was lovely. The kids, as you’d expect, were very happy with the arrangement (“two Christmases!”). We did lots of things, including decorating the tree.

23. Pleasure (Decorated the Christmas tree today. Getting in early.)

This photo reminds me: only a few days left in the #nanowrimoprompt and #mycreativeprocess challenge. This has been the hardest one yet due to juggling other commitments while trying to remain in an output mindset. But I’ve enjoyed it!

It’s also been a terrific week because Keira received an award for her Indonesian speaking skills. It involved an event in the city, while Riley stayed at home with two extra people to play board games with, so he was extremely happy as well!

What else am I celebrating this week?

  • Adele is back with another world-crushing album, and if you’re still in doubt of her talents, listen to her isolated vocals from singing ‘Hello’ at SNL last weekend. You’ll have to do some YouTube-ing to find it, but the proof is there.
  • Being able to take it easy on days I’m not feeling well (aka today) – meaning I can sit down and watch a few consecutive episodes of Jessica Jones on Netflix. It’s the simple things x

What are you celebrating this week?
