I recorded this quick little video for YouTube the other day and thought I’d put it up here too. If you’re unaware of the hubbub over at YouTube at the moment, they changed the partner program eligibility for those channels wanting to monetise (i.e earn money). It used to be 10,000-lifetime views for a channel; as of the 20th February it changes to the steep criteria of 4,000 watch hours over the past 12 months AND a minimum of 1,000 subscribers. What does this mean? Not only will I lose future money (unless I hit that new target!) but the money I’ve managed to earn over the past almost-11 years. Does this bother me? Not much – but I can see why it would be devastating to those who are feeling like they need to start over.

I hope this pep talk helps. And it features a sleeping Kylo Ren!
