In an effort to read the posts I mark ‘Saved for Later’ in Feedly, in what I hope will turn into a regular feature I’ll be pulling out the best, most interesting, weird, disturbing, compelling, important or all of the above to share with you.

The 50 Funniest Movies Ever Made – special mention to Office Space, A Fish Called Wanda, The Big Lebowski, Tootsie, A Shot in the Dark, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Airplane! They’re my particular favourites.

Did you know that George Clooney hangs a picture of him as Batman in his office as a warning not to take on projects just for commercial gain?

Dangling plot threads. Nothing quite as annoying, is there? io9 turned over a post for people to comment on theirs. I’m still wrapping my head around the Doctor/River Song love story. Something didn’t quite compute.

Listen to F. Scott Fitzgerald reading Keats’ ‘Ode to a Nightingale’.

The Paris Review has a lovely two-part series On Keeping a Notebook Part 1 and Part 2

Jamie Oliver donates his latest cookbook to over 4,000 UK libraries.

The 2013 September to November programme has been released for The Wheeler Centre – among the many attractions is the power-combo of George RR Martin and Peter Dinklage being in town and talking Game of Thrones. November 13. But it’s already booked out! Lucky I got my tickets early.

And finally, but by no means least, the wonderful – adorable – Tom Hiddleston talking to Cookie Monster about the pleasures of delayed gratification.

I won’t tell you how many times I’ve watched that clip. Got to save some dignity.

Happy weekend x
