Did you know there are people who do all the right things after a huge night out – say, get a taxi or a lift home – and don’t realise that they’re still over the limit the next morning when they’re about to hop in their car? A recent NRMA survey showed that only 18 per cent of drinkers could claim they definitely understood their blood alcohol limit at such a time. That’s… what I’d call putting a fair bit of faith in other drivers. How many of us have fallen into the 72 per cent of ‘uncertains’ category? And how many times?

Being aware of this danger is just one of the areas of focus on the brand-new NRMA campaign platform called Speak Out; it’s goal is to “enable individuals and community groups to organise and mobilise around issues they want the NRMA to fight for on their behalf.”

NRMA Speak Out

Even better, to help spread the word and goodwill about the campaign, NRMA have a $200 fuel voucher for me to give away.
