friday celebrations

1. Beginning with this lovely blue sky of wispy clouds earlier in the week – lucky we made the most of this weather while we could because our part of the country is going to be blasted by ice, wind and snow over the coming week!

2. I taught an amazing class of blogging students – and the course was so popular, they’re running a repeat on the 16th July.

3. The first chapter from Harper Lee’s greatly anticipated novel Go Set a Watchman was just released on The Age. Go read it – and if you’re excited as I am, pre-orders are available through Booktopia.

4. I encourage everyone to read this piece on The Guardian – a blogger’s recipes inspired by literature. What an ace idea! Kate’s blog is The Little Library Cafe.

5. A few teaser trailers came out on YouTube. First, for the new season of Doctor Who:

And also for the forthcoming Sherlock special. Kudos to Martin Freeman’s moustache!

What are you celebrating this week?
