As I write this, we’re all enjoying a bit of ‘down time’. Quite frankly, that’s what the past few days have been all about. I cooked up enough of a feast on Christmas Eve to get us through to (hopefully) tomorrow, so I’ve been able to relax reading and playing board games and watch some TV with the rest of the family.
I’m tired. The kids are tired. We journeyed over to the shops today to have a quick look around, but it didn’t take long for us all to shrug our shoulders and say “Let’s go home again”.
I enjoy looking at everyone’s Christmas photos on social media, but I deliberately kept my camera down for the best part of yesterday, disinclined to look at things through a viewfinder. In retrospect, I regret this choice a tiny bit, but that feeling will pass.
What I did document was Keira doing gymnastics moves on her new mat.
This morning she miscalculated a move and crashed into the piano. (She’s fine.)
May we all have similar crash mats, if we need them, to get us through these last few days of 2015. x
P.S. I sent out my annual Christmas Card Challenge email. If you’re curious, the total – including this year’s contribution – is now just a couple dollars under $500. Getting there. If you didn’t get an email and you commented on the blog this year, it might be an idea to check your spam folder, just in case. And thank you all again.
