Hello and happy Easter to you, or happy long weekend (or both!).
Our household is running a bit differently to usual, as Adam has been working through the past few nights, so we’re tiptoeing around the place. I think some (quiet, non-fight-triggering) board games and movies are in order – and the weather forecast for Melbourne indicates that might just be a perfect idea.
There’s one thing I’d like to mention today – and that’s this:
Here’s the full explanation I put up on Instagram:
Okay, it’s the long weekend. Bubbles were popped. Then I thought I’d check in on iTunes and this happened. It was there.
To back up a bit, you know how you make a thing, but keep it to yourself because you don’t know if it’ll work? That was me, trying to figure out the whole ‘submit a feed to iTunes’ deal. I was FULLY expecting a “computer says no” reply… but it didn’t happen. It WORKED. And three days ago I was pulling my hair out.
So, consider this a soft launch. If you’d like to subscribe, listen to the intro show, where I mention things about my history I don’t even think I’ve blogged about, that would be ace. Feedback appreciated – esp if it needs to be louder.
Anyway, thanks, cheers and here we go! x
I honestly did expect it to fail – that first episode is what I was planning on podcasting, but I wasn’t going to panic if it failed on the first try. My eyes went blurry trying to follow the instructions on Apple. It goes to show if I can do it, anyone can!
Back to the matter: ‘they’ say that it’s a good idea to launch with a few episodes ready to go, for people to download in a bunch and then boost your chances of making top lists or whatever – but you know me. I don’t really follow the ‘they’ people of the world. There was a part of me that thought I could just keep it quiet while I got all my ducks lined up, but I got excited.
If you’re interested, you can subscribe on iTunes (or Soundcloud). If you have any questions let me know!
