While I fear it would be disastrously premature to announce anything  just yet, let me tease you all just a little bit by saying that soon – if things go to plan – life will be getting  very busy. Exciting, challenging, and meaningful. I’ll tell you when I can.

{NO I am not pregnant. A thousand NOs.}

So that leaves me left to report such things like what’s been going on at our house this week. A lot of this:

MESS

While I’ve been working on said ‘MYSTERIOUS PROJECTS’ I’ve left the kids pretty much have run of the house. Doesn’t worry me, so long as I get some peace and nothing gets broken.

{The cat – however – isn’t happy with the arrangement.}

Also, in another startling example of OUR MORTALITY which keeps slapping me in the face this year, yesterday I went to get a facial – the first in recent memory. I did so because I have a patch of skin underneath my mouth that is permanently red and raised and sometimes itchy, like eczema. I asked the beautician about it, and she said, “Oh, our hormones all change as we get pre-menopausal.” Couple this with a doctors appointment I had several weeks ago about my increasingly painful mittelschmerz who said, “This can happen as we get older.”

In other words, I think I’m being given subtle messages to go out an buy a Dr Sandra Cabot book.

Or become a vampire. I bet they don’t have to deal with this shit.
