Child of the 80s

Moving on from last week’s scathing rant against boring public speakers here we have my favourite televisions shows from the 1980s (again, still haven’t put a thumb on it but I think we’re in ’87 or ’88. Maybe ’86?)

In my opinion Voltron, Its a Knockout, Mr Squiggle and Playmates were the best. The first three, yes. Undoubtedly. I often wish they’d bring It’s a Knockout back, but I suppose they have already in shows such as Wipeout.  But the last one had me stumped. What was Playmates?

So what does one do in those situations?

Turn to Twitter, of course.

Where the lovely Leechbabe, Leechboy and Rotheche led me to this. And after a bit of background reading, I still have no recall at all about it. None whatsoever. Maybe you know?

I do like how I’m lying on the floor in the picture (at least I think that’s what I’m doing.) I’m also quite proud of my conceptual idea of somehow cultivating trees to sprout out of the set, putting into motion – no doubt – many sorts of positive chemical  reactions to help the planet.

Well – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it 😉
