The program of the 2011 Emerging Writers’ Festival is now available online. Go and click and see what wonderful writers and sessions are on offer this year – not to mention the revamped, extremely cool website!

I’m excited to be able to say I’ll be speaking on Sunday 29th May. Details below:

Children’s books, 11am
Children are fun, curious and creative, so they make great readers! Karen Andrews and Andrew McDonald discuss writing for young people. [source]

It’s called ‘Sunday in Conversations’ and the aim is to be relaxed and audience-inclusive. Come with questions!

An even extra buzz is I’ve been invited to be a EWF blog contributor. I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging through sessions as my laptop is on permanent power pack reliance and its not really a sexy look, dragging it around, scoping out power points, and WordPress on the iPhone is slow going – however I certainly will around taking copious amounts of notes!

I’ll also be selling books at the Page Parlour on Sunday 5th June.

For writers and bloggers, I’ve said before the value of the Festival is amazing. A Golden Ticket gets you into almost everything and is only $160. A Town Hall weekend pass bought in advance is $49.

Hope to see you there!
