This past Sunday saw hundreds of people in white t-shirts walk the 3.2km perimeter of Princes Oval in the city in aid of raising money for MND research and awareness. While such events always make me a little sad, I think it is important for the kids to see the support and solidarity such occasions also bring, to remember we’re all part of something larger and to witness hope and strength. This kind of mentality isn’t just for MND sufferers, naturally, but for everyone afflicted by disease or illness and to celebrate the memories of those who’ve left us too early.
