I read recently that the average microwave, used as an ‘average’ microwave might during the day, uses more power to work the digital clocks (that most have) than it does to heat the food you put in it.

So ask yourself – do I need this clock? Or can I  turn it off at the powerpoint between uses and save that bit of energy?

I do now.

Thursday is one of my washing days. The other is Monday. (This is on a very good week). So last Thursday I went in both the kid’s rooms to collect their dirty stuff.

Nothing.

They had no dirty clothes.

Unbelievable.

Then I remembered for the past three days, due to typical summer weather, they’d been nude most of the time anyway.

So there’s another tip for you:

Go Green? Go nude!
