I have an interview lined up this afternoon with one of the local newspapers to talk about my recent short story win. This will include photographs (gulp).

You’d think that I would be dedicating precious mental space to memorising the essence of the story in 20-words-or-less, or thinking up of a tactful, yet convincing and utterly captivating, plug for my upcoming book and its release.

No. That would make too much sense.

Instead, I’m standing in my wardrobe wondering what the hell to wear.

Right.

Well there goes my reputation as a Serious Artiste walking out the door. Goodbye!
